The small print
Three short things: how we handle your information, our accessibility commitment, and what to expect when you order. Written in plain language on purpose.

Privacy
What this website collects on its own
There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for. The order form runs entirely in your browser and opens your own email app; nothing is sent to us until you press send in that app. What the site does collect is usage statistics, described next.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to learn how people find and use the site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, and what kind of device they use. To do that, Google sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) that last up to two years and let it recognize a returning browser. Google receives this data and handles it under Google's privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We do not use it for advertising and we do not combine it with anything you email us.
You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies for this site in your browser, or by using a content blocker. The site works exactly the same either way.
Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps a cookie-free count of page views by country. It does not identify you or follow you to other sites. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
What you send us
When you email orders@hearthhoneybakery.com or message us on Instagram, we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, how to reach you, and your order. We use it only to reply, confirm, and fulfill your order. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the services that carry the message itself.
Services that carry your message or serve this site
- Email is hosted by Microsoft 365, under Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Instagram messages are handled by Meta, under Meta's privacy policy.
- This site is served by GitHub Pages through Cloudflare. Like most hosts, they may log your IP address and request details briefly for security and operation, under GitHub's privacy statement and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep order messages only as long as we need them for your order and our basic business records, then delete them. If you want your messages deleted sooner, email us and we will.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Questions
Email orders@hearthhoneybakery.com. If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read this site and place an order. The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What that means in practice
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip link.
- Text and controls meet or exceed the required color contrast.
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have labels, hints, and error messages that assistive technology announces.
- Animation is turned off for people who have asked their device to reduce motion.
- Text can be resized to 200 percent without loss of content.
The site was last checked on September 6, 2026 with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse) and a keyboard walkthrough of every page. We know of no outstanding issues.
Tell us if something is in your way
If any part of this site is hard to use, email orders@hearthhoneybakery.com and tell us what happened. We will fix it as quickly as we can, and in the meantime we are happy to take your order by email or Instagram in whatever form works for you.
Ordering terms
An order is a request until we confirm it
When you email or message us, that is a request. Megan replies to confirm the item, quantity, date, meet-up spot, and payment details. Your order is confirmed when she says so.
Lead time
Everything is baked to order. Please give at least 2 days' notice. If you need something sooner, ask, and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible.
Payment
Megan confirms the price and how to pay when she confirms your order. There are no online payments on this site.
Pickup
Orders are handed over in person at a public meet-up spot around Draper, Utah, at the time we agree on. We do not ship. If you are running late or cannot make it, let us know as early as you can so we can find another time.
Changes and cancellations
Need to change or cancel? Email or message us as soon as you know. The earlier we hear from you, the easier it is to adjust.
Allergens and food safety
Cinnamon rolls contain wheat, milk, and eggs. Everything is made in a home kitchen that is not allergen-free, so please do not order if you have a severe allergy. All products are made in a home kitchen that is not licensed or inspected by the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food or a local health department, as permitted under the Utah Food Freedom Act. Baked goods are best the day they are handed over.
